This video essay was made in 2024 for my Trends & Forecasting class. In this project, we were tasked to identify a recent trend, showcase examples across various forms, and explain the reason behind its emergence. For this assignment, we were only allowed to use "fresh" signals. So, I, Gem of Occult, picked the picture of Devil Kazuya from the Tekken 8 X Gentle Monster collaboration as my anchor image, which acted as a starting point before I expanded into the history and evolution of the concept of demonic entities. This was necessary due to the depth of this topic, since I intend to inform and educate people on matters the general public refuses to think about in their everyday lives.
